Before I came to HK, I had worked in Channel Zhejiang(Zhejiang Radio & Television Group), which is the best TV Station in local. However, with fierce competition in Chinese media industry, a TV station will die out if without continuous self-improvement. Thus, according to market need, this TV station re-integrates the channel resources, try to better performance and gain a higher TV rating.

Session 2 Junyan

Requirement: Identify a model of change to help explain change within an organization which you have experienced.

Based on the characters of Guangdong museum, the most suitable model is the cultural innovation model. Obviously, the museum environment of yesterday was very different from the emerging computer-supported and highly-technical environment in museums today. The Guangdong museum offers an integrated environment for clients to figure out the knowledge regarding the Guangdong history, Guangdong nature resources and work of arts, which is accumulated, analyzed, and distributed by information professionals.
Before I talk about the change in the Guangdong museum, I need to give some explanations for why people come to museum and different types of tourists. It’s will helpful for us to understand these changes well.

Why do people go to museum?
It’s universally acknowledged that museum-going is a leisure-time activity. As a leisure-time activity, museum-going is one of many activities that serve our need for "personal self-definitions and agendas for development".

The model that my workplace can fit in is the Technology Adoption Model. The following content will cover the background information of my workplace, the analysis of my workplace based on Technology Adoption Model and Diffusion of Innovation Theory.
1. Background Knowledge about my workplace
I worked as an English teacher in the largest language training school in Beijing, which is named New Oriental Technology & Education Group (NOG). It went public in New York Stock Exchange in 2006, and successfully got more than $10 million investment to further its infrastructure construction, human resource reservation, curriculum development and advertisement.
As for the ICT implementation of the whole school, the objective was stated as to “take advantage of the power of ICT to make the information presentation clearer and more attractive”.
